This banana meal replacement powder from PHD Nutrition Life Range comes in an 840g resealable pouch with scoop included. It's vegan protein powder with 23 vitamins and minerals that was easy to mix. I tried this in two ways; shaking vigorously with cold milk and using a blender. The first way gave me a beverage that was pretty much the same as a banana milk. The second way gave me a nice smooth milkshake. Both ways work fine as it tastes good regardless. There's 30g of protein with 250 calories per serving, a little bit higher than I'd like, but as a replacement meal, it's not too bad. I feel that the combination of pea protein isolate, oat and flaxseed powder doesn't give a smooth, creamy shake like a whey protein powder would, but if you are vegan, mixing this to almond or soya milk would make it a lot tastier than just mixing it with water. This expires on July 2023, so you get a long expiry date of a couple of years from the time of ordering. Overall, a good tasting meal replacement powder, easy to prepare with a long expiry date. Amazing if you want limted calories through the day with a high protein content, really happy as it's helping me lose weight. This is my first time trying any meal replacement for weight loss. I must say that I am impressed by its result. I have lost 2 kilos in 15 days without any workout. Sometimes I add some cinnamon to the powder for a kick and a boost to your metabolism, and it works. I am now using this as part of a calorie controlled diet.

I chose chocolate, and with a certain amount of trepidation, tried my first serving shortly after delivery. I found it a bit clumsy using the scoop - which was well buried in the bag, so make sure you hands are clean - but I will no doubt improve my knack in due course. The instructions say to fill a receptacle with 350 ml of ice-cold water, add 2 scoops of the powder and shake for 10 seconds. Big mistake...!!! I reckon if I shook it for an hour it would still have the consistency of an Arctic ice-floe...! My first attempt had to be eaten rather than drank..!! But not to worry: I bought a cheap yet excellent battery frother/mixer from MYSUPPLEMENTSHOP for £9.99, popped in two scoops of powder into a measuring jug and poured just 200ml (not 350ml) of ice-cold water on top. (No shaking) And Wow! In about 30 seconds with my new mixer, I had a beautifully creamed mix onto which I poured the remaining 150ml of ice-cold water. Delicious...! I think you could even get away with a slightly longer drink with 400ml of water. I trust other flavours are equally as good as the chocolate I chose so can confidently recommend this product.

I've tried so many vegan shakes over the years and this is definitely one of the best. I blend it with berries or spices or even coffee and it tastes great. Good vitamin content. Highly recommended and I will definitely be buying more
