Wasn't really expecting it to taste good tbh but I was honestly surprised in that it really doesn't taste too bad at all, sweet but not too much. It's a lot lighter and great for warmer weather with loads of ice. Overall, I'm happy and will continue to use it.

I always found the usual protein powder mixed with milk, of whatever brand and flavour, really tough to force down and I was always nauseous for a good while afterwards. Mixing the protein powder with water instead made it slightly easier to drink but the taste was awful. Therefore I was naturally pleased to find that the new clear whey protein was made to be mixed with cold water and came in various fruit flavours. I chose Strawberry & Raspberry flavour. I found the powder very easy to mix with cold water and a shaker, however the shaking causes the drink to froth up a bit, so it has to be left to settle for a minute before drinking - no big deal. The protein drink produced is sweet but the strawberry and raspberry flavour tastes great and goes down a treat - a great improvement on the milky protein drinks that I used to force down and best of all, no nausea. After drinking there's always a bit of froth left at the bottom of the shaker - so I add a little bit more water and drink the dregs in order to get all of the protein down. I can't imagine a better flavour than strawberry and raspberry so I'm gonna stick with this flavour as it suits me perfectly. According to the product's blurb there is 21 grams of protein (5g of which are BCAAs) in each 25 gram serving (1 scoop) along with 1 gram of carbs and 0.25 grams of sugar and fat. One serving is only 90 calories and there are 35 servings (875 grams) in a large "carton". The only down side is the cost, which is 44.95 per 875 gram carton on the Applied Nutrition website. However it is currently around 10 cheaper on the MYSUPPLEMENTSHOP UK website which makes each serving around 1 - far better value for money. I intend to continue using this clear whey protein powder and I think anyone who uses a protein powder should give it a try.

I've been looking around to get a fruity Whey protein since I am used to American brand Syntrex Nectar which is almost impossible to find here in UK anymore. But luckily I found this! Order came in today, well packaged and looks like a valuable brand. The texture is very nice, I mixed one scoop in 400ml water and it became really foamy and didn't mix well so had to shake for a little longer and left it for few minutes to let it settle. after that its fine. It doesn't taste anything like normal whey protein and if you're like me who's got bit of a sweet tooth, you will love it as it just like another fruit juice. If the ingredients are as described, Whey protein cannot get any better than this as this is Hydrolysed Whey Protein Isolate with 21gms of protein per scoop. I can drink this 5 times a day without thinking twice as it really is that refreshing. Yes it is very sweet and in-fact you can taste the sucralose but since its not sugar (synthetic) so it shouldn't be an issue even if you're on keto. I am just praying the ingredients are correct. Price is very high for 875g pack If the company drop the prices compare to a normal Whey isolate, this is a superhit products IMHO. I try and keep up with my nutrition (especially protein), however, I began to have enough of thick protein powder drinks, especially Vanilla and Chocolate as it began to get a little boring. This new alternative Clear Whey' by Applied Nutrition is super delicious and best yet it is super light to drink and practically tastes like a juice. I found that drinking with a little ice made it even more enjoyable, and I'm sure that in summer this will be a hit when I'm chilling in the sun after a workout. The flavour of Watermelon was very refreshing but slightly too sweet. It had that iconic watermelon flavour though I found that drinking with ice made the sweetness slightly more subtle and enjoyable. To prepare the clear whey protein drink simply pour a scoop into 400nl cold water and shake (in a shaker cup) for about 20 seconds. I found that it mixed relatively well with little to no residue left at the bottom. Overall, good value and taste. 5 stars! Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

I always struggle to get enough protein in to my daily intake, and this has helped heaps. I was buying bottle of protein water every time i was at the gym, but this now saves me money and is more convenient too. It's sweet (sweeter than typical OJ) but i don't think thats a bad thing. It's low in calories and high in protein. It's a refreshing drink after a work out and thats the main thing.
