This product does product lots of fiber - just make sure you take only one and drink a FULL glass of water with it or it will 'bulk' your colon. Never have constipation problems since beginning to take this product.

I'm kind of shocked. I didn't actually expect this to help with blood sugar (as I read it does) even a little but I've only been taking it a few days and I've noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in both fasting and post-meal numbers throughout the day. Even on a day when I ate just, frankly and inexcusably awful. I'm not saying that like: hey do what you want, this gives you permission! Just that I noticed it worked when I least expected it to.

Guar Gum was the active ingredient in a very popular weight loss pill called Cal-Ban 3000 back in the late 80's early 90's. I took Cal-Ban for one month and lost 30 pounds, without exercising or dieting. Many people benefited from that weight loss pill. However, there were a few idiots who didn't follow the instructions and it resulted in them having issues which required emergency care. ME, I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES. Personally, I believe it was to cover up the fact that FINALLY there was a pill that actually helped with losing weight. Companies that sell caffeine weight loss pills, which DON'T WORK!, were threatened by Cal-Ban and lobbied politicians to bury Cal-Ban so they could continue making billions of dollars a year selling caffeine pills. Then there are those pharmaceutical companies that make billions of dollars a year selling their cholesterol pills, high blood pressure pills, arthritis pills, etc. ANYTHING that they sell that were somehow linked to being over-weight. Can you imagine the loses these drug companies would lose fave if people actually lost massive amounts of weight and NO LONGER needed to take their drugs? I believe, they too lobbied politicians and the judicial system to get Cal-Ban banned. TOO MANY people were excited about this weight loss pill. And having less than 1% of the people taking the pill having issues shouldn't have resulted in a ban. How many drugs approved by the FDA have serious life threatening effects on a small percentage of people? Or, after taking their drugs for an extended time it results in kidney or liver disease, cancer or some other medical side effects. BUT they don't get banned. But a few taking Cal-Ban end up in hospitals, once again probably because they didn't follow the instructions, and the government steps in and bankrupts the company. Don't you find that very curious? I know I do. BOTTOM LINE, when taken correctly, Guar Gum can help you lose weight when taken with food and at least 8 oz of water. Before I knew it, I lost 30 lbs because of Guar Gum! WITH NO EXERCISE OR SPECIAL DIET!!! NOTE: I don't remember how many mg of Guar Gum was in Cal-Ban compared to this product.
